As we know that Saurav Ganguly is the newly-elected BCCI president, hence he has also mentioned earlier that his main focus is on first-class cricket. Ganguly has recently mentioned that he is planning to introduce a contract system for first-class cricketers. About 38 teams are competing in the Ranji Trophy, the execution of this plan may be complex. Saurav Ganguly however, is optimistic & stated that the work has begun.
