Mithali Raj desires to give a try for 2021 world cup

The 50 over world cup for women is scheduled to take place during Feb- March 2021. While New Zealand is hosting the world tournament, the former Indian captain Mithali Raj wants to deliver her efforts to win the ICC 2021 world cup. The 36-year old has announced her retirement from T20 cricket in September last year, and expects this to be a dream come true before she quits the international 50 over matches.

Mithali Raj stays herself determined well into cricket as she looks for the 2021 world cup and has spoken about it earlier. However, with the women’s team going perfectly alright, she asks for the support from people to be in a way it has been.

Recollecting back, Mithali reveals that the Indian women’s cricket team has been strongly working on winning the World Cup and the close results in the last three ICC events show the dedication. India has lost to England in the final at Lord’s in 2017. Unfortunately the same result got repeated in the semifinal of the Women’s World T20 in 2018. Subsequently, in the T20 World Cup held earlier in 2020, the result was a loss against the hosts Australia. But failing to cope with the pressure at the world stage is the commonality in all the 3 situations, Mithali stated.
