Shubman Gill, KL Rahul, Dhruv Jurel, Kuldeep Yadav, and Akash Deep, all of whom have been named in India’s Test squad for the upcoming series against Bangladesh, have been released from the second round of the Duleep Trophy 2024-25. These five players are among eight who have been relieved from the domestic tournament to join the national Test side, reports Live Cricket Score.
With Gill’s departure, Mayank Agarwal has been appointed as the captain of India A. The Indian men’s selection panel has also named replacements for the departing players, including Pratham Singh for Gill, Akshay Wadkar for KL Rahul, SK Rasheed for Jurel, Shams Mulani for Kuldeep, and Aaqib Khan for Akash Deep.
India A squad:
Mayank Agarwal (c), Riyan Parag, Tilak Varma, Shivam Dube, Tanush Kotian, Prasidh Krishna, Khaleel Ahmed, Avesh Khan, Kumar Kushagra, Shaswat Rawat, Pratham Singh, Akshay Wadkar, SK Rasheed, Shams Mulani, Aaqib Khan.
Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rishabh Pant, and Yash Dayal in the India B squad have been left out after being called up for the India Test squad. Replacements have been named, with Suyash Prabhudessai and Rinku Singh stepping in. Notably, Sarfaraz Khan, who has also been named in the Test squad, will continue to feature in the second round of the Duleep Trophy. Additionally, Himanshu Mantri from Madhya Pradesh has been added to the team.
India B squad:

The India C squad remains unchanged for the second round. However, India D will be without Axar Patel, who has replaced Haryana’s Nishant Sindhu. Additionally, Tushar Deshpande has been ruled out of the tournament due to an injury and replaced by Vidwath Kaverappa, who moves from India A.
