Later this year, India A and Australia A are slated to engage in a couple of four-day games as part of their preparation ahead of the Border-Gavaskar Test series. Cricket Australia has officially conferred first-class status upon both these fixtures.
The upcoming series presents an ideal opportunity for the home team to hone their skills before facing India in a pivotal five-match series. With Australia having succumbed to defeats in their last two home series against India, they are keen on turning the tide in their favor this time , reports Cricket Live Score.
In light of scheduling conflicts with the Pakistan ODIs and T20Is, several of Australia’s Test regulars may opt to participate in this series. Similarly, some members of India’s Test squad might also grace the occasion.
The inaugural match is scheduled to take place from October 31 to November 3 at the Great Barrier Reef Arena in Mackay. Subsequently, the action will shift to the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground, which is also set to host the fourth Test of the Border-Gavaskar series.
Following the ‘A’ series, India’s senior team, fresh off encounters against New Zealand and Bangladesh, is set to face the India A squad in an Intra Squad match. This additional fixture is slated to unfold at the WACA in Perth from November 15 to 17.
