Dominica, Trinidad shortlisted to host India Tests

As part of a visit that will run for more than 30 days, the West Indies will host two tests, three ODIs, and five T20Is in India. Six white-ball matches, comprising three ODIs and three Twenty20 Internationals, will be played in Barbados, Trinidad, and Guyana, according to a tentative schedule released by Cricket West Indies (CWI) boards. In the interim, the final two T20Is will take place in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

The US broadcast of the series is scheduled to start on July 12 and end on August 13. On July 5 or 6, the Indian team is anticipated to fly out to the Caribbean islands to prepare for the tour. The Indian team see the series as the ideal chance to be ready for the 2024 T20 World Cup. After touring in July and August of last year, Team India is staging a series in the West Indies for the second year in a row, reports Live Cricket Score.

The official dates for the matches will be announced once the schedule has been finalised by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). The bodies must still sign a formal agreement for the two more T20Is. It is expected to be confirmed in the coming days at the Test World Championship finals in London, where members of the BCCI and CWI will meet.
