Despite Irfan Pathan’s Karachi Test hat-trick, India unfortunately lost the series

Cricket matches between India and Pakistan have been interesting for a long time. The clashes between both the teams are closely watched, especially by the cricket fans of both nations. It was a test series way back in 2006 as Irfan Pathan recollects the loss of the final test against Pakistan despite his hat-trick.

The dismissal of Salman Butt was the first wicket of Irfan, followed by Younis Khan and Mohammad Yousuf. This hat-trick happened in the very first-over of his spell, however it was not enough to win the match for India.

Pakistan realized and bounced back after the loss of 3 important wickets in a prestigious tournament, dropping off winning chances for India. This allowed Pakistan to manage the series with 1-0 lead in their home country and against India. The first two Tests held in Lahore and Faisalabad respectively ended with a draw.

The loss of India provoked Irfan Pathan to a sad situation, despite his hat-trick. Irfan expressed his views in an interview with Sports Tak.
