Chennai Super Kings (CSK) couldn’t meet the high standards of performance in IPL 2020, despite being known to be one of the best teams in the league each year. This could be said as the underrated season for the three times champion of IPL.
So, the captain of CSK, MS Dhoni strategized a plan for striking back hard in IPL 2021. Besides, CSK as one of the strong contenders initially in this year’s IPL had unfortunately became first to lose the playoff chances marching towards end of the league stage.
CSK had lost 8 games out of 11 and later pulled off all the 3 games with a win. However, a total of 12 points didn’t suffice the team to stand out at the first 4 places among the 8 participating teams.
Ruturaj Gaikwad was named to be the strong support at the top order in the batting department while Sam Curran added to be the best all-rounder along with Jadeja. So, Dhoni said that he would be improving the team’s future strongly with the performances made this year.
