Albie Morkel who had a great IPL season during 2012 recollects the moments that changed the match with a win. The match between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at Chepauk stadium was a thriller, the South African all-rounder said.
The 19th over bowled by RBC’s Virat Kohli in Indian Premier League 2012 had fetched runs for CSK. The target given to CSK was 206 in 20 overs while it was 43 runs to chase in the last 2 overs with 5 wickets remaining. Albie Morkel then came to the crease and Kohli took over the bowling in the 19th over as Daniel Vettori as captain handed him the ball.
The stunning shots all around the ground in that particular over released a bit of pressure as Albie hit 28 runs leaving 15 runs for Dwayne Bravo to score in the final over. The West Indies all-rounder Bravo hit a couple of boundaries in the 20th over as they managed to take a win over RCB as Vinay Kumar bowled the last over.
