Nepal pick uncapped spinner Mousom Dhakal for Asia Cup

For the 2019 Asia Cup, Nepal has selected uncapped spinner Mousom Dhakal in its 17-man roster. When former captain Gyanendra Malla announced his retirement, Nepal named this team for the first time.

The 20-year-old Rohit Paudel, who has already skippered Nepal in 27 ODIs, will do so again at the Asia Cup. He finished second in runs scored for Nepal in the ACC Premier Cup, which they won to get to the tournament. Sundeep Jora rejoins the team after missing the latest World Cup qualifiers in Zimbabwe. A week of training in Pakistan before to the competition has also been confirmed for Nepal. They would also compete in games against PCB-designated teams during that time, reports Live Cricket Score.

Nepal has been placed in the same bracket as Pakistan and India for the competition. On August 30 in Multan, they will play Pakistan in the tournament’s opening match; on September 4, they will fly to Kandy to play India. To the Super 4, advance the top two teams from the group.
