Sourav Ganguly flies to Dubai to take overlook of IPL preparations

The former Indian captain and the current BCCI president Sourav Ganguly stated that the Asia Cup scheduled originally in September is now cancelled. The statement was revealed by Ganguly on Wednesday and on ‘sports tak in an Instagram live session. The uncertainty lies in hosting the tournament, as many countries are still under the covid-19 crisis, and in a stage of recovery.

Samiul Hasan Burney who’s the Media director of the Pakistan Cricket Board claims over Sourav Ganguly’s statement on Asia Cup 2020 cancellation. He added that Ganguly’s words had no merit and revealed that the ACC (Asian Cricket Council) will decide on the fate of the Asia Cup.

Also, the T20 World Cup in October-November is under review of ICC. The highest board will announce a decision after the hosting country Australia is keen on postponing it. The ongoing coronavirus crisis led the situation to be still unimaginable about the near future. However, BCCI is planning to schedule IPL during that window, in case the World Cup gets cancelled.
