The current Indian fast bowlers can deliver faster speeds, Bharat Arun reveals

The bowling coach of India on the third episode of Inside Out said his thoughts about the player’s performance. As a coach, Bharat Arun has been guiding bowlers with tips to maintain faster speeds. He said that the current team is successfully managing to go over 140 km/hr, while maintaining a proper pace on the ball.

The current team has key players including pacers like Mohammad Shami, Jasprit Bumrah, Umesh Yadav, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar. These reputed bowlers in the international format have gained a great importance with successful career continuation, Arun added. The pacers were keen at bowling faster speeds both at home and abroad.

The line-up in the bowlers department in the past was comparatively maintaining lower speeds. The international batsmen round the field clearly notice the difference in bowling speeds, Arun said. And in the last 2-3 years, Indian pacers have mastered bowling speeds of 140 km/h and above.

Arun revealed that the management has deployed tracking monitors to see the performances of the bowlers in the training sessions. The GPS trackers give an idea of how active the bowlers have been running at the camps. This allows the right balance of maintaining higher speeds or improving it.
